"Tis A Hard Land"
Frequently Asked Questions.
Q. What is Purely Primitive?
A. Purely Primitive is a virtual world set in medieval times. Its a hard land in which you play the part of a character that lives in that world. You will make friends and enemies along the way. You can't win or lose, you simply live in that world with Many others just like yourself.
Q. Can I be a GM?
A. No.
Q. Is there a skill cap?
A. There is no skill cap. You can have up to 100.0 in any and all skills if you wish to spend the time acquiring those skill. There is no limit on total skills. You can learn every skill if you wish. Keep in mind that if you die you will lose a percentage of all skills.
Q. Is there a stat cap?
A. You can have a maximum of 100 in strength, dexterity, and intelligence. 300 total points in all.
Q. Why do tools cost so much on NPC(non player character) vendors?
A. We want players to buy from players. Tinkers and other people with trade skills want to be able to sell their goods to people. Nobody has a need for trade skills if you can buy goods from the npc's cheaper than the players can make them. This makes trade skills valuable and also makes resources (such and logs and ingots) valuable, thus giving lumberjackers and miners a market for the goods they gather.
Q. Why are my stats going up so slow?
A. Well, lets look at them individually.
Strength does not just fly up without hard work because (lets face it), Everybody is not Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you are gonna be stronger than everybody else, you're gonna have to work at it. You'll be glad later if you do.
Dexterity does not go up fast without hard work. Everybody is not Bruce Lee.
Intelligence? You guessed it. Everybody is not Einstein.
So, work hard at your stats and you'll be Stronger, faster, and smarter than most folks. Characters are not equal in this land.
Q. Are there any Rules?
A. There is only one rule that is being enforced at this time:Absolutely no profanity will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to vulgar or profane character names, house names, pet names, posts on bulletin boards, conversations, and much more.
We have a jail system in place that jails anyone that says certain words but not all words that are considered inappropriate are on the jailing list for various reasons. This does not mean that you are allowed to say those words.
If you see someone breaking this rule, please page a GM and we will watch them personally.
We feel that only asking people to not curse is quite reasonable.
Thanks
